Since I wrote my last post, my computer froze just once. Additionally, these days I manually display a window showing the temperature of the different chips my idea is that if the computer freezes, I'll be able to see all the temperatures and extract some useful information before rebooting. I have the app set up so that it stats automatically at the start up, with an icon on the upper bar (near bluetooth and time icons). I read somewhere that running Trim Enabler for the SSD drive would fix the problem, but it doesn't seem to do anything.Īny ideas would be really appreciated. My computer seems hot, but it still crashes even while running HD Fan control to keep it cool. I don't see anything special in the console or log. I've tried resetting the PMC and all kinds of other things. I found a few other threads similar to mine and the issue I can see that we all have in common is that we all updated to an SSD Drive. The only way to get out of it is to power down and reboot. It seems like only my desktop is crashing. I know the network still works too because I stream music out to a networked music player. iTunes keeps playing and Skype and Ring Central soft-phone calls still work (it crashed during a phone call earlier today). My mouse still moves but I can't click anything. When it happens I see nothing special on the screen. It's lighting fast now, but the problem is that I keep experiencing a weird "crash" at least twice a day. If an application without a security certificate tries to access the Internet, your Mac displays a dialog prompting you for confirmation, and you can decide yes or no.I took my 2009 iMac to an authorized Apple service center to swap my hard drive for a 1TB SSD drive. After you do, software you’ve installed that’s accompanied by a valid security certificate (including any application from Apple and most major third-party software developers) is automatically added to the Allowed list you see on the Firewall Options sheet.
